for me i think alot of it is luck, but without the skill you will get nowhere.

I think it is silly to say that it is one or the other. I feel that it is a game of skill but you won't go very far in the game if you don't have luck on your side as well. Skill can only take you so far. Luck to hit your cards or luck to avoid badbeats is crucial.

for NL holdem luck means 5% and skill 95% my oppinion...

on freerols and small buy in its all about luck
in 5-10 $ buy in its 50-50% luck and skill
after that its more about skill

I think 50/50 ... but a bad player can lose even with goods cards!

You need a bit of luck of course, but without skill and knowing the game of poker,like analysize, youre lost....Poker is mostly skill!

It's a game so luck is involved but especially in live games and at higher stakes it's more and more about skill and luck becomes a marginal piece of the game.

I sorry to say but poker is a lot of skill you have to know how many outs you have and know what hands can beat you and then comes the luck

skill is more important, as phil helmuth says "if luck wasnt involved i would win everytime"

poker is more about luck....and sure...you need skill too , but if u don't have luck you can't get a tourny to the end!

freeroll poker needs more luck as for freerolls as there is always alot of donking going on

i belive it's skill,you can make a player fold with a good hand even a stronger hand then yours plus at MTT's with hundreds or thousands of players you need a good survival technique,the luck plays it's part but not in such a big percentage

i think there are 3 factors:
1- time
2-persistence
3-luck
